The state health agency has canceled a $90 million contract extension with an Austin defense contractor over allegations that the agency's top lawyer inappropriately helped steer the firm $110 million in state business. The Austin American-Statesman reports that Jack Stick, chief counsel for Texas' Health and Human Services Commission has resigned from the agency.
